Outreach

In one city, busloads of HDR employees travel to locations throughout the community to prepare meals for the homeless, renovate homes for the poor, rebuild community parks and escort underprivileged children to a science center. In another, a team of employees crosses the border into an impoverished area of Mexico, where they build a day care center for children who are often victimized by crime. And in still another, employees spend their free time cleaning up a community park.

Volunteering Time and Energy
Citizens of all ages, from all sectors of society, may benefit from HDR employees volunteering to help. Many HDR offices have special committees dedicated to organizing and supporting community causes, and individual employees take it upon themselves to lead volunteer efforts that help communities in many ways, including:

  • Providing food and shelter for the needy
  • Leading educational programs for children and adults
  • Rebuilding and improving homes and parks
  • Participating in community development projects
  • Supporting local arts programs

You could say HDR employees take community involvement personally – it's part of a personal commitment to improving the towns and cities where we live, work and play.
