Where there is an important community need, HDR finds a way to help.
Through donations and sponsorships targeted to a variety of community causes, our offices around the country provide much-needed financial support for organizations and events that improve quality of life for all of us.
Charitable Causes
For example, HDR sponsors events nationwide that help provide:
Resources for medical research on serious diseases such as cancer, heart disease and multiple sclerosis
Funds for homeless shelters and food banks
Support for community arts, improvement and beautification projects
Educational programs for our youth
HDR localizes its process for making charitable contributions, leaving donation decisions to managers and directors in offices and areas where the financial support will be used. In Omaha, a Charitable Contributions Committee meets regularly to review requests for donations, giving priority to those causes determined to be most important to the community.
Fund-Raising Nationwide
Organizations such as the United Way also benefit from fund-raising campaigns coordinated by HDR offices everywhere, with employees annually finding creative ways to increase the company's contributions. HDR supports United Way/CHAD agencies through an annual employee-giving campaign and an umbrella corporate contribution.
And financial contributions are just part of the story - employee participation in community causes goes hand in hand with monetary support. We strongly believe that giving back to the community is not only our civic duty, but a privilege—and we are honored and thankful to be in the position to make a difference. HDR encourages and supports employee involvement in fund-raising activities that help improve our communities and supports those in need.
